Kiehl's Clearly Corrective Dark Spot Solution Review

So as you may be aware (or not  - or if not I won't be offended), I have been absent from the Blogosphere for a very long time. Long enough for me to be trying out new products without the hassle of writing about them - which in it's own right, has been awesome. The result? Reviews that have a lot of trial and error behind them. Not that my reviews were in no way trialled to begin with, but my writing skills have most certainly become more defined, therefore more reliable when putting across a point.

My first review back, is one that I have been "umming" and "ahhing" over for quite some time. I wanted to write a review on something I personally deal with every day of my life, and therefore this may help others.
Due to the constant struggle of "womanly-hood",  I have dealt with many spots in my life time - such a grim topic. Shall I continue?
I am fairly unlucky when it comes to that "time of the month", as I suffer from inevitable break outs which take weeks to calm down. I can't remember the last time I didn't have a spot on my face. It's got the point where I am not so much bothered about the spots, but the scarring and dark under-the-skin spots they are leaving behind.
I did some research, like most women do, and the results were remarkable.

Meet my new best friend. This bottle of gloop is proving to break boundaries; something which I never thought possible. Over the course of a few months, I was seeing changes. My dark spots, mainly around my chin and forehead area, were not as visible and my skin was not producing as many spots - a coincidence? I think not.
Although I feel the front of the bottle can be a bit misleading i.e. "Clinically-Demonstrated to Rapidly Correct Dark Spots and Clarify Skin Tone", I feel the product itself works, just not at the speed I would have liked for the price.
At £32 (depending on where you purchase it - I got mine from their website), it wasn't the investment I was hoping for, as it has taken me up to one third of the bottle to see an improvement, but at least it works - unlike many other products I have used. Will I be repurchasing again? Well, will I need to? If this bottle can remove my dark spots in 3 months, then I do not see why I should have to, but if it will take me longer, I certainly will.
Another pro to the cons is that it smells very much like Gin and Tonic. Unless you despise the smell of Gin, I wouldn't complain about slapping this on my face every night.

So all-in-all this Kiehl's have impressed me with this one. If you are looking for an overnight cure to your dark spots, perhaps walk away from this one, but should you be looking for a new found friendship, this little guy may be it.

  1. I really love Kiehl's, they do some great skincare products. Luckily I don't get dark spots - yet! I'll keep this in mind though for sure.
